Academic Calendar
An academic year at ESG UQAM is divided into three terms: two regular terms (Fall and Winter) and one intensive term (Summer). Exchange students are admitted only during the two regular terms (Fall and Winter) and no exchange is allowed during the Summer term. Thus, an exchange student may decide to study at ESG UQAM for the following term(s):
- Fall and Winter (program code: 0481-0483-0474-0476-9967)
- Fall only (program code: 0478-0482-0473-0475-9966)
- Winter only (program code: 0478-0482-0473-0475-9966)

Please note:
- Attenting the orientation meeting is mandatory. It is therefore recommended to arrive in Montreal before orientation.
- Incoming students are strongly advised to attend their classes from the very beginning.
- In addition, enrolment in a course could be denied to incoming students who did not participate in the first two three-hour periods of the course, which generally take place in the first two weeks of the semester.
- Since it’s not possible to negotiate the passing of exams in the exchange student’s home institution, students are responsible for ensuring that their departure from Montreal at the end of the semester is scheduled after all final exams.
